St Andrews lake

St Andrews Lake is a rare picturesque 70 acre chalk pit with lots of mystery hidden beneath its crystal clear surface. The uniquely coloured blue depths offer huge potential for anglers willing to invest some time and effort in pursuit of that special fish that may not have ever been caught. It’s nestled in a unique location in Halling in the North Downs between the River Medway and Pilgrims Way. This is a truly exceptional place that’s been made available to the angling fraternity that can’t be compared to any other day ticket lake in the UK. Where else can you fish water deep blue with untapped mystery of what it contains surrounding it?

The lake is only a stone’s throw away from junction 2 of the M25 and four miles away from junction 4 of the M20.

The lake has not been commercially fished for over 20 years, only poached by a few after seeing the ‘jewels’ the lake contains. Now with over 1100 fish present from past stocking records and our own introductions, this water is growing from strength to strength with the feed programme we have implemented. Included in this stock are some of the ‘originals’ with a chance of further uncaught surprises which I will leave to be just that for the visiting angler. The site is enfolded in meadows and woodland, the crystal waters of this lake provide a dream environment for superb colonies of common/mirror carp and roach and rudd. As a result of the rich water conditions, the natural feed is also abundant, including thousands of snails and tadpoles. We opened in the Spring of 2019 after a full renovation, with new swims, toilets, running water and a café.

The lake is open to annual membership as well as the day ticket angler.

24 available swims are dotted around the lake with a swim delivery for your gear, the carpark is secure and has 24 hour CCTV and security in operation across the site.

The lake will be having a number of re stockings from our onsite stock ponds in the coming years to add to its already amazing stock of Carp to over 30lbs. We will also be introducing Predators and Tench to further the fishing possibilities.

As a whole this site’s attractions go far beyond fish. A world-designated reserve for wintering wildfowl, St Andrews is a haven for flora, fauna and stunning views of white cliffs, providing everyone who visits for water sports, camping, cabins or just walking the dog, any of the anglers who fish here are offered a uniquely peaceful and uplifting escape from the outside world behind a locked gate away from life’s pressures.

The former quarry has been expertly manicured into a distinguished reserve. The site has a large car park for up to 50 vehicles, a BBQ for the use of exclusive group bookings and/or summer socials/open days, weather permitting. The site is fenced and electric gate around the bank to give the angler peace, security, and solitude, as well as CCTV cameras around the site, covering the car parking area, stock ponds and main gated entrance. You will be guaranteed a unique experience unrivalled on other day ticket lakes in the UK.

Day tickets are charged on entry to site or can be purchased by phone 07985410020. Bailiffs visit the site 2-3 times a day and are always happy to help try and point you toward the fish.

This lake is already renowned for its big hit style fishing, those who can accurately apply bait and top up the swim after fish can really have an action packed session and with stalking in the edge with pellet, many good anglers experiencing the stock up close and personal feeding on little spots in the edge in the gin clear water and this lake is somewhere the quiet, patient and observant angler catches close in the margins.

The fish have proven very good year round so don’t be put off by a drop in temperature as the depth means it fishes well in the colder months, as it takes longer to cool down. Not only has the winter carp fishing been exceptional but the specimen roach and rudd fishing is worth exploring too.

We offer exclusive lake bookings for a group of up to 22 anglers for 24hours giving each angler lots of water or you can book sessions in advance on a per person basis.
